Lodge rental bookings need to be made far in advance (think the season before atleast) Remote private lodge rentals are becoming harder to get with growing demands. We at Big Bend Backcountry have a few potential private lodges to choose from offering helicopter access, lodge rental, guiding, chef and food program. Prices will vary depending on the lodge. Most have an occupancy of 12.
We can also work on booking beds and guiding out of a number of ACC and other hut associations venues.
Grab a group of friends and join us for an unforgettable week away from the crowds.
Big Bend Backcountry will be a proud AST provider for Avalanche Canada for the 26/27 season. Providing both AST 1 & 2 courses.
We also offer custom glacial travel courses. Covering rescue systems, route finding and decision making in glaciated terrain.

Most guests have previous touring experience, although this is not required. Clients should be in the high end of intermediate ski / ride-ability. Comfortable skiing short steep sections, changing snow conditions, powder skiing and skiing in the trees. Fitness is an asset in the backcountry and clients should be prepared to tour up for a few hours for each run.
It's awesome if guests have some formal avalanche training but is not required. All trips will start with a hands on review of companion rescue. Highlighting search strategies, transceiver use, probing and shovelling.
Big Bend Backcountry currently does not offer transportation to any of our trips. Clients are responsible for their own transportation to trail heads or staging areas for all trips
