Our knowledgeable guides are always aiming to give our guests the most out of their experience, from logging extra vertical to understanding the process of the decisions we make, helping to empower their decision making in the future.
We cannot guarantee powder skiing on all trips, but booking around the Revelstoke region definitely hedges your bet. But we can guarantee to do everything we can to be a part of days you won't soon forget.

Nate Elman is the owner and lead guide at Big Bend Backcountry. Working in the guiding industry around Revelstoke for over a decade. He gets his kicks delivering amazing ski experiences to his clients. From walking up through the old growth cedar groves, helping you score the pillow lines of your dreams or wandering and skiing around in the amazing alpine terrain above us. You will find his positive, fun loving energy contagious.

Nate hand chooses all other guides who will work with him, they will all be certified by the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides as well as local to the Revelstoke area. Knowing where the goods are ensures an epic adventure. Beyond their certification and knowledge of the area we hire guides who want to share their passion of the mountains. They are all more than respected colleagues they are long time friends.

Safety as a priority
Safety is paramount to the success of our business and it will be obvious. Safety first and fun exciting days in the backcountry as a close second. We aim to be transparent with the associated risks of backcountry skiing and will verbalize the hazards of the day and our mitigation process's in the morning and throughout the day as we make decisions. We understand that as ski tourers you may often go on unguided trips and we want to empower you to make safe decisions in the future.
